More than 25,000 people attend Mardi Gras Galveston each year to experience the party of a lifetime when the island comes alive with spectacular parades, galas and festive events, including bead throwing. One of the most popular events in Texas, Mardi Gras is celebrating its 100th year this year, which will make it all the more special. History, culture and celebrations will unfurl on this day where the participants decorate their own custom mask during the celebration, painting the city in a riot of colors!
