Galveston shelter center provides cover for those homeless and other people who are seeking some place to stay during the cold weather. Providing 24 hours service, the Salvation Army Emergency Shelter opens up enough space with a lounge and television for anyone who wants to guard themselves from the high cold temperatures.
With this on one side, the other namely the city of Friendswood has opened up an emergency warming center to locate its residents who have lost heat supply in their homes due to power shortages. The scheduled time for the emergency service is from 9am to 5:30pm on Thursday and Friday.
