Though the long dry spell of Galveston was broken by showers, it has not done enough to take off water conservation measures completely. Galveston moved to Stage 2, which allowed people to use automatic sprinkler systems during designated days and times and allows watering with handheld hoses, buckets and drip-irrigation systems any time of the day on the designated watering days.
